Sinopsis
Outline
Julia y Víctor no se sienten integrados a ninguna parte. Hace un par de días emprendieron un viaje de iniciación a la periferia con el fin de hacerse resistentes y volver a enfrentarse a la ciudad. Como prueba beben aguardiente, duermen al descampado y comen enlatados. Esta rutina de sobrevivencia afecta la relación; el desafío ya no es hacia el resto sino entre ellos. El único camino que han terminado recorriendo es el de una total indigencia.
Julia and Victor belong nowhere. Days ago, they began a journey through boundaries, seeking resilience so they can comeback and face the city. As a test, they drink hard liquor, sleep in the open and eat canned food. This rough routine affects their relationship; the challenge isn’t against the rest of the world anymore, but against each other. In the end, the only path they have walked is one of a complete destitution.

Realizador y guionista nacido en Santiago en 1978. Dirigió los cortometrajes Oscilado, 2002, Cordero de Dios, 1997 y Desde el estómago, 2005, éste último exhibido en los festivales internacionales de Atlanta Underground (Estados Unidos), Drama (Grecia), Toulouse (Francia) y Arcos (Santiago). Durante el año 2001 y 2002 realiza una investigación sobre Los Antecedentes de la Literatura Moderna en la Biblioteca Nacional de España. El 2007 Participa en el Seminario de Dramaturgia impartido por Juan Radrigán y Flavia Radrigán en el Centro de Investigación Teatro La Memoria, y publica más tarde una pieza dramática en el compilado La Palabra Sucia (Editorial Quimantú). Co-guionista y asesor de guión para los proyectos El Inquisidor y Hasta que la muerte nos separe, apoyados por el Fondo Consejo Nacional de Televisión y Fondo CORFO respectivamente. En 2009 el Fondo del Libro le concede una beca de creación literaria. Guiñar el Diamante es su primer largometraje como director.
Writer and director born in Santiago in 1978. He directed the shorts: Oscilado, 2002, Cordero de Dios, 1997 and Desde el estómago, 2005, the last one exhibited in the international film festivals of Atlanta Underground (USA), Drama (Greece), Toulouse (France) and Arcos (Chili). Between years 2001 and 2002 he did research on the subject Background of Modern Literature at the National Library of Spain. In year 2007 he attend the Seminary of Dramatic Art by Juan Radrigán and Flavia Radrigán at the Teatro La Memoria Research Center, and published a drama piece in the anthology La Palabra Sucia (Quimantú Publishers). Co-writer and script assessor for the film project El Inquisidor funded by National Fund of Television and Hasta que la muerte nos separe funded by CORFO. In 2009 the National Book Fund grants him a scholarship for Literary Creation. Wink a Diamond is his first feature film as director.
